Radio is a brutal business, especially in the Rock N' Roll format.
I just heard that another long standing radio station, 96 Rock in Atlanta, just died.
I lived in Atlanta during the late 80's and loved this station.
It had been known as Project 961 for the last few years, but it was still hanging on as a champion of Rock until this week.
Take a quick minute this Labor Day Weekend and support your local FM Rock Stations.
They need all the help they can get.
Long Live WCSX in Detroit.
Long Live WRIF in Detroit.
RIP 96Rock in Atlanta.

My Profile
Kurt Schwarz is a happily married man with three awesome children, living and working in Oakland County, MI. His mid-life crisis brought weight-loss, sobriety, and the constant pursuit of happiness by pretending to be a rock star. Now in his late forties, he has decided to become a better person by improving every aspect of his life.
He blogs about Family, Fatherhood, and Fantastic Music Topics.
He strongly believes that real men can be great husbands and fathers yet retain their "coolness," although his kids may not always agree.

I remember growing up on KMET in LA during the 80's. Radio does need our support.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment Carlie.
DeleteI lived in L.A. in 1989, so I missed KMET.
